We're seeking a Safety & Compliance Manager to join an industry-leading EFW business in Runcorn. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven professional with a strong safety-first mindset to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of waste recovery and resource transformation.

The Opportunity:
As Safety & Compliance Manager, you'll lead on implementing and managing safety systems, ensuring compliance with environmental permits, and embedding a proactive culture of safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing safety systems, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
  • Ensuring environmental compliance, including interpreting emissions data and auditing procedures.
  • Working closely with the Plant Manager and site team to maintain high productivity while prioritizing safety and environmental compliance.
  • Driving best practices and supporting a culture of health and safety excellence across the site.

About You:
You'll bring a blend of expertise, leadership, and technical knowledge to this role. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in highly regulated environments-knowledge of the energy from waste or power industries is advantageous.
  • Leadership skills to develop and embed a safety-first culture in a complex workplace.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards (OHSAS18001, ISO14001, ISO50001).
  • NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualifications.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS).
  • A full UK driving license.
