The Opportunity:
As Safety & Compliance Manager, you'll lead on implementing and managing safety systems, ensuring compliance with environmental permits, and embedding a proactive culture of safety and compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing safety systems, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
- Ensuring environmental compliance, including interpreting emissions data and auditing procedures.
- Working closely with the Plant Manager and site team to maintain high productivity while prioritizing safety and environmental compliance.
- Driving best practices and supporting a culture of health and safety excellence across the site.
About You:
You'll bring a blend of expertise, leadership, and technical knowledge to this role. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in highly regulated environments-knowledge of the energy from waste or power industries is advantageous.
- Leadership skills to develop and embed a safety-first culture in a complex workplace.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards (OHSAS18001, ISO14001, ISO50001).
- NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualifications.
- Familiarity with Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS).
- A full UK driving license.
