Purchasing & Stores Assistant

Location: Office based in Runcorn (Full time permanent role – 37.5 Hours Per Week)

With over 25 years of experience and a global blue chip customer base my client has firmly established themselves as a leading supplier of Life Science Software, Pharmaceutical robotics, and lab automation solutions!

This is an integral role within our client’s growing Operations Team, with emphasis on enabling clear communication and robust administrative practices!

The role of Purchasing & Stores Assistant:

  • Placement and management of production and non-production purchase orders in a timely manner to support all operational and project requirements
  • Working with cross functional teams such as Production, Design, Planning, Project Management & Finance
  • Booking in and shipping out goods
  • Maintaining stock standards, levels, and integrity, including updating of stock records, and spreadsheets
  • Updating requisitioning system and managing goods process in line with business requirements
  • Liaising with suppliers in line with delivery expectations and updating the systems accordingly

The requirements of the Purchasing & Stores Assistant:

  • An individual with previous procurement or stock management experience is desirable, but not essential
  • A keen eye for detail, with an appreciation for the importance of data integrity and accurate information transfer
  • The ability to analyse data, and collate into digestible report formats
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • A strong communicator with the confidence and temperament to liaise with stakeholders of all levels, whilst operating under the pressures associated with timebound business targets
  • A dynamic individual with an appetite to take on new challenges and learn new skills.
  • A positive, can-do attitude, who is willing and able to support others achieve their goals
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment would also be beneficial
