Your new companyHays Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a single-form entry primary school based in the heart of Runcorn town centre as they are looking to recruit a reliable and enthusiastic teaching assistant to support 2 pupils with the EYFS class on a one-to-one basis. This is a full-time temporary contract that will lead to a permanent position for the right person.Your new roleWithin your new role as an SEN teaching assistant within this school, you will be supporting two pupils within the EYFS class on a one-to-one basis. The two pupils you will be supporting do have individual EHCP's tailored to support their needs (ASD and non-verbal). You will integrate them into the main classroom and offer additional support in the form of speech and language sessions and communication to ensure that all activities are inclusive and accessible at all times. You will work closely with the class teacher and other teaching assistant staff to promote their learning. Due to the needs of the pupils, they will require intimate care as they are in nappies.What you'll need to succeedTo be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK, recent referenceable experience working with children and young people, and:

  • An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent supporting teaching and learning qualification
  • Experience supporting SEN
  • Be able to commit to a full-time contract
