Your new company
Hays Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a Runcorn-based primary school as they are looking to recruit a dedicated and reliable teaching assistant to support SEN pupils within the EYFS class. This is a long-term full-time contract with an immediate start that will lead to a permanent position for the right person.

Your new role
As a teaching assistant within this school, you will be supporting 5 pupils within the EYFS class that have SEN (ASD, non-verbal and delay). The pupils you will be supporting a based within a nurture room with 3 of the children being integrated into the main class. Two pupils cannot be integrated due to their mental capacity. Each pupil has allocated 1:1 support, meaning you will work alongside a team of teaching assistants as well as the class teacher to ensure that all learning is in a safe, inclusive and accessible learning environment. As these pupils have complex needs, intimate care is required.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered in your application, you must have referenceable experience supporting children, young people or adults with complex needs as well as full "Right to Work" in the UK, as well as:

  • Be able to commit to a long-term full-time contract
  • Be comfortable with personal care
  • An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning is advantageous but not essential
