Our team of dedicated professionals strives to help every student reach their full potential by offering tailored support and fostering an inclusive and enriching atmosphere.

Role Overview:We are seeking a compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students with a variety of learning needs, ensuring they can fully participate in classroom activities and reach their individual learning goals. You will work closely with the teaching staff to deliver specialized support, promote independence, and aid with personal care when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.

  • Assist in the delivery of tailored learning plans under the guidance of the class teacher.

  • Support students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and physical disabilities.

  • Encourage positive behaviour and engage students in activities to promote learning and personal development.

  • Help with personal care and mobility if required.

  • Support students during breaks and lunchtime as needed.

  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and assist in the development of IEPs (Individual Education Plans).

  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to create the best possible learning environment for each student.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young adults with SEN (desirable).

  • A passion for supporting students with additional needs and a commitment to their well-being.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

  • A relevant qualification in supporting learning (such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or similar) is desirable but not essential.

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
