Surface Mount Technology Production Operative

Jobstore UK are currently recruiting for SMT Production Operatives to join a well established leading PCB manufacturing organisation based in Runcorn on a temp to perm basis.

Applicants must have a good understanding of surface mount electronic assembly production and have a good eye for precision and detail. These are long term opportunities for the right applicants with great career opportunities.

Typical duties will be;

Hand-soldering SMT components on PCB boards

Testing/programming PCB boards

Final assembly of products, plastic LED extrusions and castings

Using an automatic gluing machine

Visual testing of products

Packing final products for delivery - following order notes

Ensuring correct stock levels - liaising with purchasing if any shortages

The job will offer candidates a great working environment with a fantastic training program. They are rapidly expanding the busy over the next few months.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in an SMT manufacturing or production environment essential
- Familiarity with surface mount technology (SMT) processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment as required
- Basic understanding of logic controllers and electrical systems
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Salary starts on a probationary rate and will increase in line with experience. These are temp to perm positions we are recruiting for.
