At Adaptable Recruitment we have an Exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner to join a growing & reputable company in Runcorn working in a brilliant office environment with lots of progression for the right person. Package: up to £36,000 DOE Core Hours: Part Time - Weekend Work - Plus Monday & Friday Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays Location: Runcorn - Fully Office Based Benefits: Healthcare cash plan - Life Assurance - Access to EAP - Free Lunches! Main Responsibilities to Include:

  • Management of Traction Shifts.
  • Creation of work on our transport management system
  • Liaising with customers regarding load opportunities and providing them with updates.
  • Brokering load opportunities with our third party haulage partners (subcontractors).
  • Reconciling customer orders with transport plans.
  • Organise and respond to enquiries.
  • Assist in the onboarding of new hauliers.
  • Assist in new customer sales.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a transport environment is essential.
  • Great Attention to detail.
  • Strong people skills and excellent communication.
  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills.
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of outlook, word and excel.


Experience Required:

  • Transport Planning: 3 years (required)
  • Customer service: 3 years (required)
