Mechnical Fitter
KAP Technical are recruiting for a leading independent electrical engineering group, providing a unique range of contracting and rotating machine services, as well as support products.
They are known for repair and maintenance of motors and generators along with design, installation, repair, maintenance, and support offerings are designed to cater to the needs industrial, infrastructure, commercial, and service sector clients.
Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Mechanical Fitter. Due to continued growth within the Water Industry and Drainage Boards, we are now looking to recruit an experienced or Semi-Skilled Mechanical Fitter with experience in working with pumps, gearboxes, and pipework installations.
Responsibilities
- To carry out mechanical installations and servicing on pumps, motors, and gearboxes
- Be able to carry out pipework installations, an element of on-site fabrication
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and produce job reports and inspection check sheets
- Supporting Project Managers with the customer communications as and when required
- Supporting other engineers (civils, electrical, mechanical) on projects
Who are you?
- We are looking for forward thinking, open minded, safety conscious individual who is a clear and assertive communicator, efficient in planning and executing work
- Ideally you will hold a mechanical qualification. This is not essential as any semi-skilled engineers will be trained as part of their employment
- On-site fabrication experience would be beneficial
- Demonstrable experience completing works under health and safety guidelines
- Full driving licence required as you will be eligible to drive a commercial vehicle for business purposes
Based on 39 hours per week plus overtime (Monday to Friday), we offer a very competitive salary based on experience and skill.
