Salary: £36,000

Shifts: Monday – Friday: Week 1: 6am – 2pm, Week 2: 11am – 7pm

Main Tasks

  • Manufacture spare parts for machines using milling machines and lathes, including components related to our processes.
  • Service tools in accordance with planned maintenance schedules.
  • Support the engineering function in the manufacture of replacement machine-related components where production pressures prevent outsourcing.
  • Meet strict deadlines to enable the busy production areas to continue to meet customer expectations.
  • Using the housekeeping assessment system in line with cells of excellence, ensure housekeeping within the tool room and that tool room equipment meets the correct quality standard. 

Required experience

  • Capable of setting up machine lathes, milling machines and grinders.
  • Capable of reading drawings to spec new parts
  • Ability to work to high standards of engineering accuracy under strict deadlines.
