The company are also involved in projects around Streetlighting, EV Chargers, Traffic Signs technology installations and maintenance.This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager, or perhaps a Senior Engineer someone looking to progress their career into Management with a reputable, forward thinking Highways Technology client!As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the management of a number of projects on the Highways Network in the East and South East regions, mainly street lighting maintenance / installation projects and related Highways Electrical systems. You will need the ability to demonstrate the right behaviours, to lead and motivate the team to ensure the culture is in line with the Company values, ensuring high standards of H&S compliance and quality of works.Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Driving programme delivering to the required outputs, you will manage a team of people to ensure productivity is achieved safely and to the specification.
  • Responsible for the management of a programme of works having overall accountability for health, safety, environment, quality and budget control.

  • Responsible for the quality management, development of testing inspections plans, ensuring the quality plan is implemented on site and records are captured to demonstrate compliance with the specification and for input into the health and safety file.
  • Working with procurement to ensure material approvals have been gained by the client and orders are placed to meet the required timescales to meet the programme.
  • As an effective leader, you will mentor junior members of the team, and may have line management responsibilities for contract leads and teams within the direct workforce. Responsible for recruitment, PDR’s, training plans, sickness and disciplinary management.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Full UK driving license (ESSENTIAL)
  • Approximately 3+ years’ experience in Streetlighting / Highway Maintenance sector.
  • SMSTS / SSSTS OR IOSH Managing Safely OR CSCS Managers Card
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations
  • Knowledge of NEC form of contract
