Working as part of our Commercial Finance team, balancing both financial accounting and business partnering to our trading teams.

You must be a confident communicator, letting the numbers/finances highlight trends, risks and opportunities and be able to effectively business partner the trading teams insights gained.

This role has the potential in the long term to move categories/area of the business or work on projects internally.

Main Responsibilities

Influencing Category Managers to ensure understanding of margin and central income.

A financial expert for the Category team.

Undertake analysis of the major drivers of category growth e.g. pricing, promotions etc.

Identify future Risk & Opportunity

Delivering monthly management accounting and other relevant reporting for your business area

You will need:

CIMA part qualified or a strong QBE

Strong business partnering skills to work closely with the trading teams

Progression in your career to date and a desire to learn

A commercial mindset with experience in budgeting and forecasting, margins, stakeholder management, business partnering, analysis especially in regards to profitability.

The ability to present your findings in a clear and concise manner

A natural aptitude towards finance and numerical data with some Management Account experience

The ability to influence across a wide range of internal functions

To ensure strong financial controls are upheld

Experience within the Retail / FMCG industry will be advantageous but not a prerequisite for the role.
