Job Description:
We are seeking reliable and safety-conscious Class 1 Rigid Drivers to operate our fleet of rigid trucks. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering goods to various destinations in a safe, timely, and professional manner. You will play a key part in ensuring that our customers receive their deliveries in the best possible condition and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely drive and operate a Class 1 Rigid vehicle.
- Make deliveries to various locations, following pre-planned routes.
- Ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and perform daily checks.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork.
- Adhere to all road safety and transport regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients and customers.
- Report any accidents, vehicle defects, or issues promptly.
- A valid Class 1 Rigid driving license (C).
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
- Previous experience as a Class 1 Rigid Driver preferred.
- A good knowledge of road safety and transport regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication skills and customer-focused attitude.
- A flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing schedules.
- Experience with multi-drop deliveries.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic repairs.
