Plant Engineer- immediate start possible - Up to £40k DOE & qualifications - + van supplied

We are working in partnership with a Plant hire company who are aiming to continue to provide their excellent quality of service/support to their customers and currently seeking a Plant Engineer to work at one of their prestigious sites

You may already be working as a Plant engineer on equipment such as diggers, dumpers, excavators, wheeled loaders, attachments, forklifts, telehandlers etc.

The role requires a plant engineer who is self-motivated with good repair, maintenance and inspection skills with a flexible, enthusiastic attitude to problem-solving in order to maintain a meticulous standard at all times. You will be required to attend breakdowns on site but will also spend time at the depot based in the Wellingborough area to carry out service/repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities of The Plant Engineer

  • Working on behalf of a major hire company, servicing and repairing all types of plant equipment
  • To manage administration tasks and complete all paperwork accurately and on time
  • Work well under pressure and retain a positive attitude to customer service
  • Maintain Health and Safety to Company standards

Skills of The Plant Engineer

  • Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electrical and Mechanical experience gained in plant machinery
  • The ability to service, fault find and repair accordingly
  • Good communication skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • A qualification in Plant maintenance is preferred but experience is highly valued

Applicants must have experience of working with plant machinery up to 20 tons and have previously held positions such as Plant Fitter, Powered Access Technician, Plant Mechanic or service engineer.
