You’ll provide excellent organisation skills within the Transport Department whilst operating within a safe working environment and ensuring legal compliance to all Health & Safety standards. The hours of work are 06:30 – 15:00 Monday to Friday with overtime when required. More About the Role:
  • Pick computer generated orders with repetitive handling/lifting of heavy and large items.
  • Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and on your own.
  • Transferring stock to its location using a Forklift truck.
  • Organising and arranging the loading of all windows and doors ready for next day deliveries.
  • Short/ long distance driving, if required.
  • Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders.
  • Maintain high levels of Health and Safety.
  • Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements.
  • Assist in warehouse inventory controls using handheld scanners.
  • Handle stock with care, promptly reporting damages or shortages.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse.
  • Ensure efficient operations by following operational procedures, rules, and schedules.
  • Loading and checking all deliveries are scanned out and complete.
  • Unloading and checking glass deliveries.
About You
  • Ideally experience in a transport environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and numerical skills.
  • Positive and flexible attitude to work.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure documentation is correct and error free.
  • Comfortable working to tight deadlines.
  • Health & Safety awareness.
  • Clean driving licence.
  • Must be over 25 years of age for fleet insurance.
