Our client is seeking a proactive Licensing Officer to join the team on a short-term basis. This role involves a mix of remote and on-site work, providing flexibility while contributing to the delivery of essential licensing services.The assignment would be temporary for a minimum of 12 weeks and is a full-time role Monday to Friday (37 hours per week)

The office is based in Wellingborough with 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home.

Salary - £19.87phKey Responsibilities:

  • Conduct licensing inspections to meet targets, using risk assessment principles.
  • Investigate complaints related to licensed premises, vehicles, and activities.
  • Collaborate with other authorities and agencies for coordinated enforcement.
  • Carry out licensing enforcement activities, including issuing notices and preparing prosecution reports.
  • Present reports to Licensing Panels and Sub-Committees.
  • Provide expert advice on licensing matters to businesses, the public, and internal teams.
  • Engage with trade bodies and organisations such as Pubwatch and the licensed vehicle trade.
  • Drive continuous improvement to ensure the best service delivery.
