The Role:As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide targeted support for individual pupils and small groups. You will play a vital role in creating an engaging and inclusive environment, helping all children to access the curriculum and build their confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work one-to-one or with small groups of pupils to provide additional learning support.
- Assist children with their individual learning plans, ensuring their needs are met.
- Encourage positive behaviour and foster a love of learning.
- Help prepare learning materials and classroom resources.
- Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and areas for development.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about supporting children's education and development.
- Caring, patient, and understanding, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiastic about working as part of a team in a primary school environment.
- Willing to learn and develop their skills to support children effectively.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
- Knowledge of supporting children with additional needs, including SEN.
- Relevant qualifications, such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
