Our client, a market leader in their field, is looking for a Purchasing Manager to join their team.

You will be fully responsible for all sourcing, procuring and management of the engineering purchasing department including materials, engineering equipment and projects.

You must have previous experience in an engineering/technical procurement position.

Responsibilities include:

• Utilising your technical procurement skills to facilitate engineering works and projects.
• Ensuring quality, cost-efficiency and delivery timelines are met.
• Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers.
• Negotiating with suppliers and contractors whilst building strong relationships.
• Monitoring supplier performance and addressing any issues.
• Managing the internal purchasing system and advising of improvements.
• Working effectively with other internal departments to understand planning, project needs and technical specifications.

You should have extensive engineering purchasing experience, possess a good understanding of technical specifications with excellent negotiation, procurement and communication skills.
