About the role

Booker Group are recruiting for a Supply Chain Project Manager whose key objectives will be to improve availability, reduce operating costs through better one touch replenishment and optimise stock holding.

You will be responsible for managing merchandising and the planogram project, establishing the business case benefits, requirements and framework for the introduction of branch specific planograms in Booker. 

The role will require working within a matrix organisation, working with stakeholders internally and externally across branch operations, supply chain and Space, Range and Merchandising to scope and detail the program of work, key performance indicators and roadmap. Delivering great customer service and satisfaction.

Base location can be Equity (Wellingborough), Eccles or Hemel.

Role Responsibility

•    Leading the business case and development of planograms in wholesale branches. •    Developing the key performance indicators and metrics for measures of success. •    Improve the allocation of space at a product level.•    Develop a one touch replenishment measure. •    Recording of space in branches. •    Using a combination of data and business understanding to turn data into insight, root causing issues, defining problems, designing creative solutions and implementing them in the business.•    Reporting data accurately and turning it into useful information which has context and supporting narrative.•    Articulating the opportunity, insight, or project clearly, flexing your style to engage with empathy and conviction.•    Build engagement, influence relevant stakeholders and deliver change in line with milestones.•    Measuring the costs & benefits associated with your work and recommending suspension/postponement of delivery if an opportunity fails to materialise or previously unknown costs become apparent.•    Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.

You will need

•    The ability to build, develop and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external contacts. •    Compliance with all Legal, regulatory and ethical requirements.•    Proven track record of the delivery of project KPI’s•    Experience of working with profit plan/sales plan and all budgetary cost attributed to your work.•    Space, range and merchandising experience•    Collaboration, communication & stakeholder management skills•    The ability to work independently to problem solve and make commercial decisions•    Attention to detail, writing of reports, interpreting data and keeping of accurate records.•    Up to date knowledge of relevant markets and market developments•    Adaptability to flex work approach     •    Project management delivery•    Data and root cause analysis•    Experience of process or system improvement•    Practical understanding of space, range and merchandising process and systems
