The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the food processing industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes process pipework and plant installations, planned and preventive maintenance, environmental services and many other engineering services associated with the food and beverage industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a fabricator welder - TIG to join the mechanical engineering division, supporting major mechanical installations across the Midlands and South of England.

Duties

As a suitably experienced and qualified fabricator TIG welder you will be working within a well-equipped and well-ventilated workshop in Rushden NN10 6AR ,with the occasional visit to site to help with installation. Primary responsibilities will be to fabricate and TIG weld new metalwork and repair existing metalwork all from technical drawings supplied by the design team. The range of work produced is extremely varied but will specifically include fabricating from stainless steel and mild steel box section and plate, one off pieces which will form part of larger installations. Typically, bins, hoppers, frames, brackets, jigs, supports, guards and pipe spools. You will have available the full range of workshop plant and equipment including saws, drills, hole punches, guillotines and laser cutters to form the metal framework and sheet metal components.

About You

Based ideally in Northamptonshire you will need to live within a commutable distance of NN10 6AR.

Demonstrable experience of fabricating, sheet metal work and TIG welding stainless steel pieces including stainless steel pipe spools within a workshop environment, is essential for this role.

MIG welding experience would be preferred but isn't essential as training will be given for this weld process.
