A commercially experienced FPGA Design Engineer with solid Xilinx tools knowledge is sought by a leading name insurveillance and sensor systems design. Salary on offer from 50-70k depending on experience, with Hybrid working available.

As part of a small, multidisciplinary team, you will take responsibility for Digital Signal Processing; undertaking modelling, coding, verification and testing of new FPGA designs for the very latest radar products. You will design and develop FPGA code (VHDL or Verilog) using Xilinx design tools as well as taking the lead on field trails of signal processing performance.

Skills and Experience for the FPGA Design Engineer should include:

  • A Technical Degree.
  • FPGA development using Xilinx design tools such as Vivado.
  • Experience implementing signal processing algorithms.
  • An understanding of the design of high speed digital circuits for real-time systems.
  • Experience of both design verification and hardware testing.
  • Some software design using C/C++, Python or Rust.
