We are looking for a dedicated professional who thrives in the lab environment and is proficient in using AKTA for protein purification.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Primarily focused on the expression and purification of core proteins.
  • Utilise molecular biology and cell culture techniques to optimise methodologies for improved yield, purity, and functionality.
  • Operate high throughput purification methods, specifically using the AKTA platform.
  • Spend approximately 85% of your time in the lab, actively engaged in hands-on, process-end scientific work.
  • Support and potentially lead the training of junior team members in protein purification processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • BSc/MSc or equivalent experience in molecular biology, biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years industry experience in protein expression and purification.
  • Proficient in high throughput protein purification techniques, especially AKTA.
  • Experienced in cell culture and other basic laboratory methods.
  • A methodical approach to work, capable of following protocols and generating reproducible, high-quality data in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be enthusiastic about working predominantly in a laboratory setting, focusing on process-driven scientific tasks.
