Job Title: Sales Manager Location: Saffron WaldenSalary: Circa £50,000 Term: PermanentWork days: Monday - Friday RecruitAbility is looking for an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager, to lead and manage the sales team within their clients growing business. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of sales operations, lead a small team, and drive revenue growth by building strong relationships with key customers in both the UK and overseas. When you are not out seeing clients, then you will be based in the office in Saffron Walden, with your team. There is career growth potential within a thriving industry, for the right person.The Role of Sales Manager:
  • Lead and manage the sales process from initial inquiry to close.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to expand the customer base and meet revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Provide regular sales reports and feedback to the senior management team.
  • Manage and support a small team, creating systems where necessary to ensure seamless sales operations.
  • Respond to inbound sales inquiries via phone and email.
  • Create and implement internal sales procedures to monitor the sales pipeline.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual sales budget.
  • Visit clients on site as required, both in the UK and overseas.
To be considered for the role of Sales Manager:
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in sales management, preferably within the technical, defense, or medical sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in a similar role, with the ability to lead and develop a sales team.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards would be beneficial.
  • Experience managing long-term customer relationships, both in the UK and internationally.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage both internal teams and external customers.
  • Commercially aware, with strong financial skills to manage sales budgets and forecasting.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and a methodical approach.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make decisive decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Self-motivated, professional, and able to travel both nationally and internationally.
Additional Requirements:
  • Valid UK driving license.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain UK security clearance.
  • A CSCS construction card is beneficial but not essential.
The Package for Sales Manager:
  • Salary: Circa £50,000
  • Work days: Monday – Friday (This may differ depending on company travel requirements)
