- Lead and manage the client onboarding process from initial inquiry to close.
- Develop and implement strategies to expand the customer base.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Provide regular reports and feedback to the senior management team.
- Manage and support a small team, creating systems where necessary to ensure seamless, client orientated operations.
- Respond to inbound inquiries via phone and email.
- Create and implement internal procedures to monitor the incoming business pipeline.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget.
- Visit clients on site as required, both in the UK and overseas.
- At least 3 years of proven experience in commercial management, preferably within the technical, defence, or medical sectors.
- Demonstrated success in a similar role, with the ability to lead and develop a team.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards would be beneficial.
- Experience managing long-term customer relationships, both in the UK and internationally.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage both internal teams and external customers.
- Commercially aware, with strong financial skills to manage budgets and forecasting.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and a methodical approach.
- Ability to work under pressure and make decisive decisions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
- Self-motivated, professional, and able to travel both nationally and internationally.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain UK security clearance.
- A CSCS construction card is beneficial but not essential.
