We're working on a retained basis with a leading organisation on the lookout for candidates currently working in communications, PR, Public Affairs, editorial or journalism, who are seeking an opportunity in a forward thinking outward focused communications role.

This position is very much a proactive role, you may be writing as much as 60% of the time but the rest of the time you will be focused on getting coverage and interest for the brand via the media coverage and pr, working directly with ambassadors and driving public affairs.

The job you come from is not so important and we are flexible, more your writing ability demonstrated by a portfolio, and the attributes needed to achieve the things above, any experience in journalism either as a journalist or duties within a role would be an advantage.

In terms of experience ideally 4/5 years as a minimum either commercial, third or public sector. If you're in an executive role and overdue a step up this could also be a serious consideration. It's likely you will need to be able to drive, or be on a local bus or train route given their location, and the maximum hybrid offering is 1 day per week from home. I would add though that this is a very collaborative role, and it really is important you are amongst the team extensively to garner the knowledge to help drive the brand. The position is commutable from Cambridge, Haverhill, Braintree, Stansted, Dunmow, Buntingford, Royston, Harlow, Hertford and Bishops Stortford.
