Overview:

Our client are industry leaders in residential groundworks/ civils projects, operating across 7 regions and continuing to expand year on year, now is an excellent time to be joining the team! This company have an excellent reputation for employee retention, with a strong focus on continuous internal progression that shows across the different regions with individuals development.

The continuous growth has created the need for a Contracts manager to join the team in Cambridgeshire. Operating across the region, with site locations being between Cambridge - Essex, although predominantly in and around Cambridge. Along with the use of a local office the successful CM will have an active presence on various sites.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing project delivery, ensuring high standards, within budget and H&S.

  • Organising all site teams, equipment and materials on-site under your control.

  • Monitoring competence of site staff, sub-contractors and ensuring H&S policies are being adhered to.

  • Manage overall job performance, working closely with the commercial team on any variations, costings and project updates.

  • Clear communication between site and office. Along with the ability to manage the client relationship efficiently and see opportunities for continued business.

Qualifications/ Experience

  • Preferably from a construction degree background, however open to candidates who have progressed within a company and gained relevant experience.

  • Prior experience as a Contracts Manager (3+ years).

  • Previous experience on groundworks/ civils projects, i.e roadworks, site layout, drainage etc.

  • Previous experience on residential/ new build developments.

  • Capable of overseeing various teams delivering projects, with a key eye for detail and a focus on H&S compliance on site.

  • Strong communicator, experienced in client management and excellent English reading & writing skills.

  • Authorised to work in the UK + UK driving license (no sponsorship on offer).
