Polytec are looking for a confident Technical Support Specialist for chemistry products for our Saffron Walden based client. You will offer pre and post sales technical support for company products.
Responsibilities:
* Technical support via telephone, email and online chat
* Pre-sales product selection and post sales enquires
* Diagnosing faults and offering application support
* Liaising with end-users, distributors and our sales teams to understand custom requirements
* Prepare and send quotations with full costings and technical detail
* Follow up on quotes and monitor statistics
* Collate, check, assemble and test all items pre-delivery
* Testing prototypes - debugging, functional, and performance testing of products and producing reports to share with the team
Requirements:
* Ideally have a minimum 5 years' experience in a technical support role
* Degree in chemistry, physical sciences, biotechnology or a related scientific field
* Hands-on laboratory skills
* Experience in managing large caseloads, using ticketing systems and tracking KPI's
* Able to use standard Microsoft Office packages (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
