Purpose of the role:

?Are you an analytical thinker with a passion for risk management? Saffron Building Society is looking for a Risk Analyst to support the maintenance and embedding of our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring our risk processes are robust, scalable and aligned with the industry best practises. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing and reporting risks across the organisation, ensuring effective risk controls and contributing to the development of a strong risk aware culture. ?The day to day role:

  • ?Completing risk assurance of key functions and policies.
  • Following up with audit owners on actions, ensure extensions are requested at appropriate committees in a timely manner.
  • Management of the internal audit report and action system and liaising with internal auditors.
  • Producing monthly MI for executive and board committees
  • Play a key role in executing, developing, maintaining, and validating models throughout the society.
  • Monitor the performance of the portfolio to inform strategy decisions.

?To be successful you will have knowledge of:

  • ?Experience with programming languages such as SAS, SQL or Python.
  • Experience working in financial services (primarily Banks and Building Societies).
  • Good communication skills and stakeholder management.
  • A degree in a numerate discipline (i.e. Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related subject) or the equivalent role related experience.
