Job Title: Head of Finance

Location: Ickleton, Cambridge (Hybrid/Remote working available)

Contract: Part time c20 hours per week - Permanent

We are excited to be offering a fantastic opportunity for a part time Head of Finance to join our growing team at Academicis.

In this role, you will be expected to provide essential financial support to the Chief Executive Officer and the wider business as well as undertaking specific requirements such as month end reporting and the preparation of management accounts.

A key part of this role will be providing support and insights and ensuring that the financial information and analysis needed to support decision-making, optimise cost control and drive overall financial performance within the business is delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production of monthly management accounts and associated commentary to be submitted to CEO
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements
  • Credit control, processing and monitoring all sales invoices
  • Payroll
  • Preparing accruals and prepayments
  • Internal invoicing
  • External invoicing
  • Cash management
  • Cash flow forecasting, budgeting, planning as well as associated analysis
  • Liaise with and maintain relationship with external accountants

To be successful in this position you will possess:

  • Experience working in a similar within a smaller business/SME environment
  • Experience/knowledge of SAGE
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
