We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations and demonstrate proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient movement of goods within the warehouse, contributing to overall productivity and safety. Driver preferred due to company having several depots in the local area.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
  • Perform shipping and receiving duties, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory management through the warehouse management system.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues for timely repairs.
  • Handle heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols to prevent injuries.
  • Maintain an organised work area, adhering to cleanliness standards and promoting a safe working environment.
  • Assist in materials handling processes, including sorting, stacking, and storing products in designated areas
  • Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse setting.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs when needed.
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, along with experience using warehouse management systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A valid forklift operator certification is required.
