Job Title: Care Worker / Support Worker
Location: Saffron Walden
Salary:12.15 - 14.00 per hour.
Job type: Full or Part-time.
Please note: Applicants must have the right to Live & Work in the UK. You may also be required to work from other locations at the discretion of the company and with appropriate notice.
Who We Are:
We are a privately run care agency in Saffron Walden and the surrounding areas. We are a small company with a very personal approach to all our clients and care staff.
The Role:
To provide care following best practice and legislative requirements, reflecting policies and procedures and agreed standards under the direction of the Senior Carer/Nurse. To support and enable Service Users to maintain skills and personal interests whilst delivering person-centred care unique to each individual and to keep skills at a current level, undertake such training and development as required from time to time to maintain and progress knowledge
Responsibilities and Duties:
Role Specific:
- Ensure Service Users are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing
- To contribute to the efficient running of the service
- Support Service Users to maintain their relationships and connections with the local community
- Ensure Care Plans and other information about how to support Service Users are followed
- Be responsible for informing the Senior Carer/Nurse of any changes in the needs of Service Users
- Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support
Working with Others:
- Develop effective working relationships with other employees within Saffron Support Ltd
- Work in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for Service Users
- If desired by the Service User, maintain and develop relationships with family, friends and other people important in their life
The Ideal Candidate:
- Will have previous experience working in similar roles & environment
- Experience of working with Service Users, in particular, those that may have additional support needs
- Be able to treat people with kindness
- Will understand the importance of empathy in all areas of employment
- Focus on how things could be done better and share ideas
- Good English - Written and verbal
- RQF Qualifications in Social Care
- Candidates must be a car Driver and have access to a car.

Salary: 10.50-14.00 per hour
COVID-19 considerations:
We supply all staff with full PPE, DBS, Uniform, Training, and opportunities to complete Level 2 and 3 diplomas in care.

- Sat and Sunday every other week.
Work Location: In person, clients home addresses.
