First Line Technical Support Engineer

Salary: 25k - 28k

Location: Saffron Walden / Hybrid (4 days in office per week)

Our client is currently seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious 1st line support engineer to join their 1st-line help desk team. The role involves engaging with customers on their day-to-day IT support needs via phone, email, and tickets.

Responsibilities:

- Engage with customers to provide technical support via various channels

- Utilize ticket systems and perform data entry

- Monitor systems and provide remote access support

- Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused attitude

- Identify and replace PC/laptop hardware components

- Possess strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Active Directory, Office, Exchange, and Azure

- Install and troubleshoot Windows operating systems

- Have basic server and infrastructure knowledge

- Understand networking and network hardware

- Utilize at least 1 year of experience working on a helpdesk

- Hold a full UK driving license and have access to a car when required

Qualifications:

- Solid foundation of IT knowledge

- Experience and understanding of working on a helpdesk

- Good understanding of ticket systems, monitoring systems, and remote access

- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, and networking

- At least 1 year of helpdesk experience

- Full UK driving license and access to a car when required

Day-to-Day:

- Engage with customers to provide technical support

- Utilize ticket systems and monitor systems

- Communicate effectively with customers

- Identify and replace PC/laptop hardware components

- Troubleshoot Windows operating systems and provide basic server support

- Assist with networking and network hardware issues
