As the R&D Manager, you'll lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and technicians, driving projects from concept to completion. You'll balance strategic leadership with hands-on mechanical engineering, creating innovative solutions.

What You'll Do:

  • Inspire & Lead: Build and mentor a high-performing R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Drive New Product Development: Manage projects from concept to production, ensuring alignment with market needs and technical excellence.
  • Hands-On Engineering: Design, prototype, and develop groundbreaking products using SolidWorks.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Streamline Processes: Oversee the Engineering Change Request process and support New Product Introduction efforts.
  • Strategic Vision: Lead the Product Development Programme, aligning projects with organisational goals and market trends.

What do we need from you?

You're a seasoned R&D leader and Mechanical Engineer with:

  • 10+ years of industrial or R&D experience, delivering projects on time and to budget.
  • 5+ years of management experience, building and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Expertise in mechanical design and manufacturing processes, plus working knowledge of electronics.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM.
  • A knack for problem-solving, collaboration, and presenting ideas effectively.
