Assembly Technician
A unique opportunity to work as an Assembly Technician for a hardware company in Saffron Walden. This role would ideally suit either a professional who enjoys assembly work or a graduate/entry-level technician, who has experience building things, who would like to gain experience work within a hardware engineering environment.
Location: Saffron Walden - ideally you will drive as office location difficult to reach by public transport. 5 days in office.
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, however we can increase to £35,000 per annum for a highly experienced technician
Requirements for Assembly Technician:
- Very high attention to detail
- This role involves intricate work so it requires good dexterity
- Good multi-tasking ability
- Strong experience in building things - i.e. screws, nuts and bolts
- Enjoys working in a Team environment
- Excellent numerical skills
- Good communicator
- While a degree isn't a minimum requiremement this may suit a graduate from an electronics or hardware environment
- Must be able to qualify for security clearance due to the nature of the products you are building (usually means you have been a resident in the UK for the past 5 years, have a clean criminal record etc)
Assembly Technician Responsibilities:
Working in a hardware engineering environment you will be piecing together and constructing hardware technology including:
- Support the production of components and products, including assembly and labelling
- Work to production deadlines
- Maintain adherence to company standards and core values throughout all tasks.
- You may also be involved in packing and dispatch operations.
