Commercially experienced Software Engineer with good Object-Orientated design skills will design and develop software for the latest radar, security and surveillance systems. You’ll bring a software based degree, a broad range of technical skills from UI design and real-time software design to Embedded Software development and experience with Scripting languages. Of particular interest is experience in the development of security / defence command and control (C2) software and using GIS (Geographic Information System) data.
The successful Software Engineer will design and develop software across the company’s radar systems, including external radar control systems and interfaces as well as bringing the ability to improve the software capabilities and enhance the user experience.
Essential Requirements include:
- Technical Degree with software content.
- A good understanding of Object-Orientated software design.
- Several years’ proven commercial software design experience.
- Ability to work directly with end users.
You should bring experience with some/most of the following:
- Working with SQL databases.
- Experience of effective UI design and UX best practices.
- Developing security /defence command and control software.
- Using and manipulating GIS data.
- Good understanding of real-time software design and development.
- Experience with Embedded software development and Embedded Linux.
- Python or similar scripting languages.
- Experience with machine learning software techniques.
A competitive salary will be offered up to C£60K (depending on your experience and relevant skills) with Hybrid working available (averaging 3 days in office per week) plus good benefits. Applicants must be fully eligible to work in the UK.
