I am working on behalf of a highly regarded firm of Chartered Financial Planners based in Sale, who are currently looking to appoint an experienced Financial Planner. This opportunity has arisen due to their recent acquisition of a local IFA business, and the successful candidate will take over an established client book with strong ongoing revenue.

The client book comprises around 125 households and generates approximately £250,000 in ongoing remuneration. The business also benefits from warm lead flow through professional connections and internal referrals, giving the incoming planner opportunities to further grow their portfolio.

The team works from a beautifully refurbished old building, with client meetings conducted in private, professional meeting rooms.

The role:

  • The firm is well-organised and efficient, with outsourced paraplanning, a dedicated administrative team, and strong systems in place, including full use of Intelligent Office (IO) with workflows and task management, and Threesixty file checking.
  • The firm embraces technology and has integrated AI tools to support advisers with meeting notes, while cashflow modelling is a key part of the advice process. Candidates must be comfortable using tools such as FE Analytics and Dynamic Planner.
  • You’ll be joining a well-established team of five financial advisers, supported by an operations manager, admin manager, three admin staff, two mortgage advisers and a six-person life insurance team.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will be Chartered or working towards Chartered status, and have strong technical skills.
  • Experience working with divorcing clients or alongside family lawyers would be highly advantageous.
  • Candidates should have experience providing holistic financial advice to private clients
  • A strong knowledge of financial products and services, in particular Pensions & Investments, is essential

On offer:

  • This is an employed role paying a basic salary of circa £60,000, plus a bonus structure linked to new business and additional revenue. Salary negotiable depending on experience
