SSR are currentky seeking an Ocean Import Specialist for one of our leading logistics clients based in Sale, Manchester. This is a permanent position.
Job Duties:
- Ensuring all required milestones on connect are completed on time.
- Setting an example of good working practice and showcasing excellent customer service.
- Liaising with relevant team leader on all matters relevant to that department/ account.
- Ensuring the regular filing of completed jobs.
- To recognise any changes in customers shipping down trends and report to Supervisor/General Manager
- Ensuring that all invoices are raised for the relevant customer on time.
- Ensuring that all purchase invoices are accrued for correctly and passed on time.
- To be familiar with the S.O.P.’s of all the accounts handled.
- Act as a back-up for any member of the team if necessary.
- To report on customer performance and identify any change in support.
- To promote compliance across the department/section.
- To assist with customer queries/complaints and raise to Team Leader/Supervisor if required.
- To ensure the correct profit and loss is monitored for the accounts handled.
- To ensure all issues are communicated to Supervisor or General Manager
- To ensure at all times, the interest of the business is taken into account.
- Ensure all emails and correspondence is replied to in a timely manner.
- To ensure a complete and full handover is provided to team leader in the event of any planned holiday or absence.
