Support Worker - Greater Manchester- £13.00 -£13.50 phr - Various shifts available

Platinum Recruitment is seeking compassionate and dedicated temporary Support Workers to join a leading healthcare provider in Greater Manchester. You will play a crucial role in supporting adults with diverse needs, including mental health, dementia, and behavioural challenges, in a residential and respite setting.

An enhanced DBS certificate dated within the last 12 months will be required for this role and a Full UK driving licence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centred support, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Assist with daily living activities: personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
  • Accompany individuals on outings, appointments, and social activities.
  • Maintain accurate records, including daily notes and incident reports.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and other professionals.
  • Work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-ins.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Epilepsy, and Acquired Brain Injury is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience as a Care Assistant, in Social Care, or working with vulnerable individuals (advantageous).
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and some sleep-ins.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred support.
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in the health and social care sector (desirable).
  • Dependable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Experience with Mental Health in young people or adults and MHFA certification (bonus).
