Candidates should have ACA/ACCA qualifications and ideally possess a strong technical skillset from an audit background.
The role requires at least 3 years of relevant experience, focusing on financial management, compliance, and business partnering.
The successful candidate will report to the Finance Director and collaborate closely with the Senior Leadership team.

Financial Controller | Salford, Manchester | £65,000 - £75,000 + 10% bonus Axon Moore are exclusively working on an exciting piece of recruitment for a first time Financial Controller to join a £55m turnover engineering / construction business who have recently been acquired by a PLC.Reporting to the Finance Director and collaborating closely with the Senior Leadership team, the Head of Finance is a high-performing, technically minded finance professional dedicated to supporting an efficient and compliant finance function.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Own the overall financial management; measure, analyse and lead on all financial performance & compliance aspects.
Lead the preparation of monthly financial and management accounts, reporting and annual statutory financial statements; measure, analyse and lead on all financial performance & compliance aspects
Support and co-ordinate the preparation annual budgets & forecasts with the Senior Leadership Team in line with the Business Plan
Business partnering with operations and Commercial to monitor weekly job costs and challenge job performance
Leading, and being one of the main contacts for the annual audit process, ensuring the continuation of an audit process
Provide financial input into tenders and business proposals

Ideal candidate:

ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong technical skillset, ideally from an audit background
Ambitious with a desire to continuously improve as the company continues to grow
Proactive, confident communicator who isn't afraid to challenge and motivate people
