Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Group Management Accountant to join their finance team in Salford. This is a hands-on role where the successful candidate will take ownership of key financial processes within their group structure, reporting directly to the CFO. As a service-led business, they are particularly interested in candidates with experience in service industry environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts for multiple group entities
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Oversee consolidation of group financial statements
- Deliver insightful financial analysis and commentary to support business decisions
- Maintain robust financial controls across the group
- Support the annual audit process
- Contribute to financial planning and forecasting activities
- Manage and develop junior team members
Essential Requirements
- Excellent proficiency with Sage Line 50
- Demonstrable experience in a group accounting environment
- Prior experience in a service-led business
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Hands-on approach and ability to work in a small, dynamic team
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
Desirable Qualifications
- Chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience in preparing statutory accounts
- Knowledge of tax compliance requirements for service businesses
