As an Assistant Financial Accountant, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accuracy of financial statements for each reporting period. You will be involved in various aspects of accounting, from preparing and posting journals to assisting with lease accounting. Your role will also involve supporting audit activities and working collaboratively with other teams within the finance operations department. You will play a crucial part in delivering performance service levels that align with the team's KPIs and SLAs.
- Perform necessary general ledger close procedures including sub-ledger to GL activities, accruals, and journal adjustments
- Prepare and post journals with appropriate auditable documentation
- Complete agreed recharges, reallocations, assisting with IFRS adjustments, and revaluation journals
- Perform elimination and allocation journal entries
- Assist with Lease accounting
- Support annual calendar of audit activities
- Work collaboratively with other pillars in RTR and across Finance Operations to resolve discrepancies and identify errors
- Deliver defined performance service levels aligned with the KPIs and SLAs for the RTR team
The ideal candidate for this Assistant Financial Accountant role is someone who has proven experience working in a finance department. You should be highly organised, detail-oriented, and proficient in using accounting software like Oracle Fusion ERP. Your ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to change will be crucial in this role. Additionally, your excellent problem-solving skills will enable you to investigate issues effectively. Good communication skills are also essential as you'll be collaborating with various teams within the finance operations department.
- Proven experience as an assistant accountant (PQ or equivalent) within a finance department
