Securitas is seeking a proactive and dedicated Duty Manager to oversee the operational management of our on-shift security personnel.

In this crucial role, you will ensure that high standards of performance are met, procedures are followed, and effective reporting is maintained. About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Promote and rigorously review health and safety on site
  • Contact, review and coach all security personnel at least once a month to proactively monitor performance and maintain positive employee relations
  • Providing training, advice and support when needed
  • Maintain effective communication through informal and formal briefings and toolkit talks
  • Address employee relations issues promptly following company procedures and actively encourage reward and recognition
  • Manage special assignments, ensuring adherence to agreed security procedures by the security team
  • Always maintain the highest professional standards
  • Be fully conversant with operational functions, including access control, CCTV detection and alarm systems, ensuring effective monitoring and reporting
  • Be the first point of contact for all site security function-related queries and manage resolutions or the more intricate operational issues

Essential Skills

  • Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history
  • 5+ years as Security Manager or Duty Manager
  • Current and valid SIA DS and CCTV licences
  • Full UK Driving license and access t a vehicle (or be able to get to site on time for shifts)
  • Must live no further than a 10-mile commuting distance to site
  • Demonstrable experience of managing & leading others
  • Excellent IT skills with competence in MS suite, word, excel and outlook
  • Well developed interpersonal and influencing skills, able to negotiate and manage sensitive and confidential matters with tact and discretion. Leads by example.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and report writing skills
  • Adaptable and responsive to changes in priorities, plans and schedules
