Liberty has an exciting opportunity for a Builder to join our team, based in Salford, Greater Manchester.  You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, to carry out high quality building and remedial works to domestic properties to a range of different social housing properties. You will be working 40 hours per week, and in return, you will receive a salary of £27,289 per annum Plus Company Van & Fuel Card Plus Excellent Benefits!

Responsibilities for this Builder role will include: 

  • Boxing in of pipework
  • Joinery including shelving to cupboards, skirting boards, refitting wall units
  • Patch plastering
  • Brickwork
  • Laying concrete slabs/ trenches for condensation/ soakaway
  • Fiting electric fire suites
  • Joinery work, custom build cupboards to go around boilers
  • Install soakaway, lift flags and install or cut concrete and finish to a high standard
  • Box in pipework with pendoc
  • Box in under and above boiler with pendoc
  • Patch up or brick up old flue/ pipe holes
  • General building works
  • General roof works, replace broken tiles (rare)
  • Report finds of asbestos
  • Ensure all works are carried out to a high standard

What we are looking for in our ideal Builder:

  • Recognised formal training attaining the relevant joinery qualification
  • NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in building or other building trade’s.
  • Must be competent in all aspects of the building discipline
  • Have a full driving license
  • Understanding of Health and Safety and working to best practice.
  • Ability to manage own time and workload
  • Experience of working with the public
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service.
