Renault Manchester seeks an Automotive Parts Driver to join our dealership’s busy Parts Department on Trinity Way, Salford (M3).
The core duties of this role revolve around providing an efficient delivery and collection service to our parts customer base as well as promoting and up-selling parts, accessories, components and consumables. Deliveries will be carried out in our fleet of branded Renault Trafic or Master vans.
Candidates with previous experience as a main dealer parts driver or multi-drop delivery experience with a motor factor firm is advantageous for this role.
Preparing for your multi-drop route each day, you will be picking the parts from stock for delivery, ensuring that goods are correctly checked against delivery notes and invoices, packing and loading parts to minimize transit damage, and at the point of deliver that all parts orders are checked by clients before the delivery note is signed.
A regular part of the role will include taking cashless payments from customers when delivering, for which PDQ machine training will be provided, and back at the main base you will also be expected to assist with sorting trade orders that have arrived overnight.
The routes will cover Greater Manchester and surrounding areas of Lancashire and North West England where we have clients, dealerships and garages that rely on our parts supply provision. After completion of your morning routes, depending on business needs you can expect either afternoon delivery routes or non-driving duties at Renault Manchester to help with the efficient and timely running of the Parts department
Other duties include assisting with stock checks, reporting any damage incurred to stock, vehicles or premises, and ensuring that whilst driving courtesy is extended to all other road users and that legal requirements are respected, all while maintaining the best possible relationships with suppliers, customers and colleagues.
Note that this role involves some heavy lifting.
Candidates must also hold a full UK driving licence to be eligible for this role.
This will be a full-time job with the following hours: 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, with 30-minute lunch break. 40 hours per week. The basic salary for this role is £23,795 pa, paid monthly.
