Associate Engineer (Civil and Structural Engineer) – up to £70k – Manchester based – Chartership requirement – 1 or 2 days WFH 
Candidates need to have significant post-chartership experience to be considered for Associate level (10 years +)
Team size - Around 60 in Manchester (30-35 in the Power team, the rest core C&S). Total overall 145, including 15 contractors
Killer Questions (and non-negotiables)
•    Must have the right to work in the UK
•    Must be willing and able to obtain security clearance
•    Must have a valid UK driver’s license 
•    Must be chartered 
Technical skills/experience required:
•    Conversant with current C&S design codes & standards
•    Highly experienced in leadership and management of projects and project teams on construction
Projects
•    Experienced in discharging responsibilities under CDM and health and safety regulations
•    Comprehensive and current knowledge of most aspects of civil and structural design, including some of the following:
o Drainage
o Foundation design
o Earthworks and site investigations
o Building structures
o Specialist knowledge or sector expertise (e.g. nuclear, Life Sciences Manufacturing &
Laboratories, contaminated land, ground improvement, highways, public sector, defence)
•    Demonstrable track record of exceptional project delivery and client satisfaction
•    High levels of commercial and change control skills
•    Awareness of contractual issues and experience managing commercial issues including change
Control
•    Experience of major projects delivery within some of the sectors we operate within
•    Fully familiar with all technical standards and assurance processes
•    Proven ability to work within a fully integrated, multi-discipline design team
