  • Hybrid role (3 days office based in Salford Quays)
This is for a very busy manufacturing company based in Salford Quays.Due to demand and workload, they require temporary service administrator (repairs) to support their Service Department for around three months. This role could become a permanent position, but our client is not in a position to guarantee anything more than ongoing temp work at the moment. The role is to help co-ordinate repairs and input relevant information and data onto the system so that repairs and servicing can be carried out effectively and efficiently from the UK to their Repair Centre in Europe. Duties will involve preparing quotations and arranging collection of faulty/damaged warranty covered instruments from customer site to the Service Centre. You would be inputting the customers’ orders, checking if goods are within warranty periods, checking against serial numbers, raise relevant action plans, process order onto the in-house system, arrange collection of parts/goods, document the problem and organise replacements as appropriate or advising that product out of warranty. You would be liaising with clients, Europe and internal staff members via phone and email so excellent communication skills are required and you need to be very comfortable using the phone as well as email.Attention to detail and experience within a service repair/service administration role is also essential as there is limited time to train beyond the obvious due to workload. If you have worked in a Service Department where you have had to deal with repairs, and are available for work reasonably quickly, please give Rachel a call to find out more or apply using the link today.
