On behalf of a client school, we are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant with BSL qualifications to support two pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about helping children working below Age-Related Expectations. You will play a key role in closing knowledge gaps, working closely with the class teacher to track and support pupil progress.

Commitment to making a positive impact and prior experience with SEN children are essential.

About you:

The successful Teaching Assistant will collaborate with the class teacher to support the academic progress of two children with a Hearing Impairment, both in group settings.

**You must be BSL trained (Level 1 -3)

**You must have relevant experience

**You must be able to provide references to support this experience

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting teachers in lesson delivery, classroom management, and fostering a positive learning environment
  • Providing individualised support to pupils facing learning challenges to ensure comprehension of the curriculum
  • Aiding in the preparation of teaching materials and organising resources for lessons
  • Establishing positive relationships with all pupils based on trust and mutual respect
  • Collaborating effectively with the key stage and wider staff to share advice, resources, and best practices

Essential Requirements:

  • Excellent references showcasing previous experience in KS1/KS2
  • Full employment history
  • The legal right to work in the UK
