SEMH Teaching Assistant

Location: Specialist Secondary School, SalfordAge Group: 11-16 yearsAre you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are recruiting on behalf of a fantastic specialist secondary school in Salford, seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant. This school supports students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, communication difficulties, and Emotional, Social, and Behavioural Adjustment (ESBA) challenges.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs and communication difficulties.
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students in managing their behaviour and emotions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working in SEN settings.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH needs and strategies to support students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Full UK Driving Licence is desirable
