Belcan Workforce Solutions is currently looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer (HV Distribution) to work for one of our clients based in Manchester, UK.


This role will be reporting to the HV Team Leader and will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of the team's output in the production and control of drawings and technical documents.

You will also work with the Power Sector Director to assist during the bid process to secure further work.

Overview

  • You will form part of a team that is a trusted partner for some of the UK's key clients, delivering detailed and complex turnkey designs

  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team you will have links into the wider network of engineers within the business to learn and grow

Responsibilities

  • Production of all designs, calculations, reports & drawings associated with new or modification of HV projects from 400V (LV) to 33kV. (single line diagrams, key line diagrams, Layout drawings, technical specifications and other design deliverables.)
  • Manage the production of project deliverables through a robust checking process but must also support the CAD technicians with the development of drawings and support the actual delivery of the outputs.

Requirements

  • Minimum HNC (with relevant work experience) in Electrical Engineering, with Power / HV background
  • Ideally MEng / Msc in Electrical Engineering, with Power / HV background
  • Working toward CEng status is seen as beneficial, however not essential
  • Enthusiastic and mature enough to operate in a diverse team and work without full time supervision. This role can lead to many career paths for the employee as they develop through BakerHicks.
