Our client who is a well-established specialist in Energy generation equipment, is currently looking to recruit an Engineering Technician who will oversee the North West area, maintaining all generator sets, plant, heat transfer equipment and gas systems. In order to secure this candidate, they are offering a competitive salary of £37,740 (OTE £45k), a generous holiday package totalling 33 days (including bank holidays) and other benefits such as Private Healthcare.

Engineering Technician Job Overview
  • Day to day operations and maintenance including but not limited to; fault diagnosis, location and rectification.
  • Planned maintenance and breakdown response for the generator sets with minimum outages.
  • A commitment to continuous enhancement of skills and knowledge, and that of the technicians working with you.
  • Seek guidance and advice from the Engineering and Management team in anything you are unsure of.
  • Avoiding unnecessary expenditure by using skills and tools available
  • Ensuring a stock of basic spare parts as detailed by the Area Supervisor is replenished and always to hand should there be a breakdown.
  • A commitment to Health, Safety Quality and Environmental practices following all procedures and using your own judgement.
  • Reducing the company's reliance on contractors wherever this is economically prudent.
  • Compliance and implementation of company protection procedures with a proactive approach to maintaining, monitoring, reporting and auditing.
  • Managing your time and travel effectively, staying away from home where appropriate.
Engineering Technician Job Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of Electrical, Heat and Mechanical maintenance.
  • Experience with electric control systems 12v DC - 415v AC 30ø
  • Gassafe accreditation (or ability to complete accreditation within probation)
  • Experience working with Landfill Gas/specialist fuels/generators is advantageous.
  • Full Driving Licence
