• This role is an ideal fit for an inspirational people leader looking for their first Site Lead / General Manager role, or an established Operations Manager who is looking to join a site that's within a larger European group structure. • You will deliver optimum operational performance and profitability for the site through the operational strategy
• You will lead and develop the Site operational teams, inspiring a shared vision, developing, and implementing formal development plans

You will be responsible to the Multi-Site Operations Director, joining a global multi-site business, highly profitable. This hire will form part of the company’s succession plan.

Role Responsibilities – Site General Factory Manager

• As the Site Factory General Manager, you will lead and develop the site functions to deliver safety, quality, service, cost and people objectives. You will identify continuous Improvement initiatives will be identified and driven to improve profit performance.
• Lead the Plant Leadership Team, responsible for production, engineering, SHE, quality, supply, and planning, at a strategic and profitable automated site, within their Global manufacturing footprint
• You are a proven senior and dynamic Operations professional, recruited to lead a growing plant/factory
• Lead, recruit, develop and shape your management team, inspiring high performance, and engagement, naturally
• Understand, coach, and teach the principles of Manufacturing Transformation, including lean tools, process capability and operational discipline, leading “High Performing Work Teams"
• This unique opportunity will suit a Senior Operations/Plant/Manufacturing Manager upwardly mobile in their career, or an existing General Factory Manager looking for a new challenge
• You will help set and shape the site vision, the culture, the technology, the ways of working; it’s an exciting time to join them
• Leading and driving development projects which will lead towards performance improvements, cost reduction and greater competitiveness
• Lead decision-making on operational policy, planning and process strategy
• Prepare annual operating budgets with plant and division staff and execute plans within agreed-upon budgetary and time constraints
• Prioritise culture and team development through effective communication, coaching and PDPs with an aim of maximising engagement and developing an effective succession plan
• Manage the operating budget,, enabling opportunities to reduce waste and cost
• Set and ensure the highest standards of safety performance

Role Requirements – Site General Factory Manager

• Excellent Leadership skills and a genuine proven track record in OPEX, trained in lean
• Graduate calibre, with a considerable understanding of all areas of factory operations
• Possess FMCG manufacturing industry experience, this could be food and drink, health/hygiene / Pharma, fill and pack, packaging, manufacturing process or general manufacturing with an indepth factory knowledge
• You will be truly inspirational in your approach and management of people
• Experienced in change management, CI, planning and organising factory improvement
• Significant manufacturing experience in an operational management role at a senior level
• The ability to develop and implement business plans and manufacturing resource strategies
• Change Management in all areas of manufacturing, engineering and operations
• You will have demonstrated career development manufacturing leadership experience, as well as experience of leading managers to achieve incredible results
• Experience working within a high-volume, complex manufacturing environment
• Significant experience in leading and developing teams
